Commonly Asked Questions:
Trimming your candle wick before each burn not only prolongs the candle life, but also keeps you and your home safe. See that little clump of burnt carbon left on the end of your wick, just snip that part off and leave 1/4" and we guarantee a safer experience. While you're here: Always burn within sight, candles get lonely and dramatic when left alone, especially around drafts or other flammable objects. Candles make terrible babysitters, do not leave burning candles alone with pets or children.
When you first light your candle, let it burn for at least 3 hours, this allows the wax pool to reach the entire width of the candle jar and will prevent build up of wax on the sides and a sinking hole in the middle (a.k.a tunneling). Here's the deal, we suggest taking a strip of aluminum foil and wrapping it at the top edge of your jar, this generates more evenly dispersed heat and will melt waxes on the sides. Still not working? When your wax is solid and cooled, take a blunt knife and carefully slice out the uneven wax walls so that your candle top is now flat and even. Re-burn and you should be good to go!
